Chapman Connections Launches!

I'm thrilled to embark on an exciting new venture called Chapman Connections! This endeavor serves as an outlet for me to apply my extensive knowledge gained from years of experience in various careers, with the aim of assisting both companies and students. Chapman Connections operates on two fronts: facilitating internships for businesses and guiding students from high school towards their next steps in their professional journey.

My primary goal is to foster connections between companies and colleges or universities by creating meaningful internship opportunities that benefit both the participating students and the organizations involved. I strongly believe in the potential of micro-internships and aim to encourage companies to incorporate them into their existing internship programs. Drawing from my background as a former human resource generalist, I understand the importance of establishing an environment where students can thrive and supervisors can reap the benefits of their work. By creating a unique and impactful experience, I strive to inspire companies to expand their internship programs and forge connections with universities in unprecedented ways.

As a former public school teacher, my passion lies in supporting students. I want to assist them, as well as their parents, in navigating the often overwhelming processes of college selection, career exploration, and everything that comes with it. Having personally encountered various challenges during my own educational journey, despite not being a first-generation student, I understand the importance of guiding them to discover their true selves, identify their aspirations, chart their paths, and ultimately thrive. Drawing from my expertise in recruitment, scholarships, career development, and higher education in general, I am confident that I can ease the burdensome process for students and even help them excel in their first year.
